Marietta Leis
Cyanotype prints by Marietta Leis are included in "Works on Paper", a group exhibition at the Abercromie Gallery, McNeese State University, LA, March 29-May 4. The cyanotypes are inspired by the 19th century botanist, Anna Atkins, who published the first illustrated book of botany with early cyanotype (sunprints) photography. Marietta made cyanotypes of the bountiful flowers on Flores Island, Portugal (Azores). www.MariettaLeis.com

René Mogensen
A new recording of music by Renë Mogensen: The New Arpeggione - Walls of Nicosia (Contreclisse) with Nicolas Deletaille on arpeggione and Alain Roudier on piano. "Walls of Nicosia" for arpeggione and computer and "Salamis Dance" for arpeggione are inspired by the beauty and rich history if Cyprus, and "Sonata Neo-Schubert" places Schubert's lyricism, harmonic language and formal design in the context of current music. www.myspace.com/ReneMogensen. www.contreclisse.com
